Unless you have been spending all your time watching old “Dukes of Hazard” reruns, you have undoubtedly heard of the crisis in Egypt . A name that you have probably discussed in ominous terms is the Muslim Brotherhood. If you have attended any of our Alliance For Vigilance events or read any of our material, you know that we believe that the MB poses the most serious terrorist threat to America today.   It should come as no surprise to you to learn that I have been asking people-even strangers-if they’ve ever heard of this organization that everyone is talking about and what they know about the MB. Two points have emerged as a result of my “research”: 1) Virtually know one knows much about the MB but 2) Most everyone with whom I’ve talked is open if not eager to learn more about the MB. I believe that now perhaps more than anytime in years we have a “Teachable Moment” in which we can go a long way in giving a very basic introduction to family, friends and co-workers about the threat posed by the Muslim Brotherhood.   With the foregoing in mind, I have summarized 3 basic but crucial points about the MB that you’ll hopefully look to share with others.   THREE THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD     1)      Al Qaeda, Hamas and thousands of other terrorist organizations around the world   are simply different faces of the MB.     In the U.S. the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) are the most recognizable faces of the MB but, by some estimates, there are over 1,000 MB organizations in the America. These organizations all the way down to the so-called homegrown terrorist trying to blow up the Arlington Metro station who has been “radicalized” through the internet draw their inspiration, doctrine and guidance from the MB. The only difference between the MB in America and their other terrorist organizations around the world is timing and tactics.   2)      The goal of the MB is to A) Establish worldwide Muslim rule (a “Caliphate”) and B)   Implement Shariah law.            With the Caliphate, you & I have 3 choices: convert to Islam, live as a slave or die. Under Shariah law people can be stoned to death or have limbs chopped off for a variety of offenses. Further, women must keep their heads covered, are basically treated as property and can be legally beaten by their husbands. To Muslims, Shariah law overrules the U.S. Constitution.   3)      Here in the U.S., as in the U.K., France and other countries, the MB has infiltrated   virtually every level of government, the military, law enforcement, the White House and society in general.             In a secret MB document that was captured and introduced into evidence in the U.S. vs. The Holy Land Foundation trial, the MB summarized their plan like this, “The (Muslim Brotherhood) must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their (our)hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah’s religion is made victorious over all other religions. “   Let me digress for a quick moment to give a brief example of this point with something that happened earlier today. Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said to a Congressional committee that the MB in Egypt was “largely secular,” had renounced violence and denounced Al Qaeda. In response to Director Clapper’s comments, former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton said, “That was the single most foolish statement I have ever heard a senior government official make.” If a simple layman like you or I can figure out this stuff, why doesn’t the top intelligence official in America get it? Consider, if you will, this question: Who do you think provides Director Clapper with his information? Remember “by their hands”?   I’d urge you to take a few minutes to memorize these three points if you don’t know them already. Then, why not ask a few people if they’ve heard about this MB group that everyone is talking about? You might be surprised at how much of a “teachable moment” you have. Personally, I believe that we who know this information have a patriotic and God-given responsibility to share it with those who will listen. Eternal vigilance is the price of freedom.
